The Swift Algorithms Project - About - Wayne W Bishop

The Project

Swift Algorithms & Data Structures is based on a series of code snippets originally written in Objective-C. The goal was to practice standard programming techniques for technical interviews. At the time, it was considered to expand the project to other languages such as Java and Python. However, with the introduction of Swift, the language provided the perfect blend of concise syntax and modern language features.

The book is currently available in 4 editions, including EPUB, PDF and Kindle formats. We are also hoping to extend the publication to other mainstream resellers print format. We are also interested in partnering with schools and libraries.

Interview Preparation

To provide engineers with an edge for landing their next position, the project has been expanded with personalized 1-1 iOS interview coaching. Over a 4-week duration, students work to complete two mock interviews and weekly code challenges designed to exercise their knowledge of algorithms, data structures, design patterns and the latest Swift syntax. Students who register for the 8-week program will also receive a complimentary resume review. Started in 2017, students have used the general and advanced programs to successfully land positions at Facebook, Apple and leading other companies.
